Malt Easter Egg Cookies

Make these easy and pretty Malt Easter Egg Cookies!
Ingredients
  • 2¼ C flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened
  • )3/4 C sugar
  • ¾ C brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 large eggs (room temp)
  • 1 C chocolate chips
  • ½ C crushed malted egg candies
  • Extra malted egg candies for garnish
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  2. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper..
  3. In a large bowl mix together the flour, baking soda and salt. With your electric mixer beat butter, both sugars, and vanilla in large mixer bowl until creamy.
  4. Add one egg at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Slowly add in the flour mixture beating as it is being added.. Stir in morsels and crushed malted candies.
  6. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto prepped baking sheets.
  7. Bake at 375 degrees for 9 to 11 minutes. (or until golden brown.)
  8. Add whole malted egg candies to the top of the warm cookies.
  9. Push the candies slightly into the cookie.
  10. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes.
  11. Transfer cookie to a wire rack to cool completely.
