Tayva is the mighty munchkin living next door. She is 16-months-old but considers herself on a par with my six-year-old. Alana (Tayva’s mother) and I are always marveling at how well our daughters play together considering their significant age difference. Although Tayva is not yet saying much, she seems to understand absolutely everything.
A few days ago a Funpod arrived.
We opened the happy box and easily assembled the contents.
An assembled FunPod looks like this… It is a brilliantly secure platform for a young child to stand in. It brings them to counter level, but unlike a chair or stool, there is no danger of them falling off because it has four sides.
This is what a FunPod looks like on the inside. This type of device falls under the category of “safety furniture.” It is genius.
Tayva loved it. I am not sure I can possibly do justice in pictures or words just how empowering the FunPod is… Imagine gaining instant height to match the big feeling a young child has inside herself — the world suddenly fitting. Tayva was safe, secure and confident in her FunPod.
Bella so adored having Tayva up at her height. They were able to prepare a snack and play in the sink together. I think for the first time Alana and I were able to see what Bella and Tayva have always seen when they look at each other — two spirits equal in their joy, mighty, confident and capable.
It is without reservation that I can recommend the FunPod to you. If you have a child aged 1 – 4 and you love working in the kitchen together, this will be a welcome addition to your home!

I think this fun pod is really great. Saw that you can add on an eating tray. That’s great so that it does not take up much room and can be used as a high chair too!
