Daddy’s Home is in Theaters Christmas Day!

Do you have that one member of your family that is cool, trendy and everyone just adores? Or that member of the family that’s just a total character? Or those family members who just bicker constantly? Every family has something.  I come from a substantially large, blended family (you can imagine the characters!), but we are all scattered about through the country and only get together a couple of times a year.

I also have an immediate blended family of my own. I found that early on in the marriage, it was very difficult for my stepson’s mom and dad to get along. Heck, I found myself playing referee between the two of them at times when it came to trying to garner the attention of their only child. I would find that sometimes my stepson was acting more maturely than his mom and dad. While it was hard in the beginning, and it took a few stressful years, we managed to hit a point where there was an understanding that the most important thing was David and not who can out-buy, out-love or out-shop each other.

He is 21 now and while we can laugh about it today, we both know there were times that we can reflect back on and say “what were they thinking?!” when he was younger. That is why when I saw the movie trailer for “Daddy’s Home” starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg, I knew it was a movie he and I had to see together because we can totally relate to this!

Daddy'sHome BloggerImg Draft2DADDY’S HOME” follows a mild-mannered radio executive (Ferrell) who strives to become the best step dad to his wife’s two children, but complications ensue when their freewheeling and freeloading real father (Wahlberg) arrives, forcing him to compete for the affection of the kids.

Daddy’s Home is sure to deliver a box-office hit performance!

Whether you grew up in a blended family, have a blended family of your own, or just love a great comedy, this movie is one you will want to see during your holiday break. Daddy’s Home is rated PG, you can take the entire family and have a great laugh or two (or a hundred!).

Here is a hilarious sneak peek you can view for yourself to see how this movie will keep you in stitches the entire time:

  • One birthday for my son I was trying to make everything perfect which it was for everyone else but I ended up getting stressed trying to do it and hit my head of the hanging light and then tried to open a two liter which just expolded all over me

  • Hmmm… Usually things turn out OK, but I forgot to take the bag of giblets out of the turkey before I cooked it when I prepared my very first turkey.

  • It was’t too funny at the time, but at our first Christmas together, the two Mother-In-Laws were competing to see who could make the best Christmas dinner. We had MASSIVE amounts of food and if we complimented one, the other got huffy — etc.
