My three sisters and I always try to get something my mom wants (this year she got a Keurig her’s broke) and have dinner. My kids always try and do something special for me as well. (I don’t forget my mother-in-law she is great and make her feel special too).

My sister-in-law usually hosts a brunch for her in-laws and my mother-in-law. My Mom lives in another city, so we usually do something with her on a different day. This year we are taking both my Mom and my MIL to Jersey Boys.

My kids are so sweet and they try to make Mothers Day special for me. I always get very carefully-made kids art work and I love it.

This year I am going to California to visit my daughter.
My mom lives in another state, but she was here last year for my son’s college graduation. This year my daughter will be around so we will just hang out and go to lunch or dinner.
I try to take my mother out to dinner or I make her dinner at home. I usually get her something small. This year… I did get her a Kindle Fire since hers was starting to fail. She’s already received it, though, as I wanted to make sure it was OK.

We celebrate in a pretty low-key way. Usually we go out to brunch or dinner, and I give my mother a handmade card and gift.
My husband usually has to work on that day so I just spend time with both of my daughters and now my granddaughter. I call my step grandmother, who is in her 90’a now. I also pay my respects to my aunt’s and grandmother who have passed.
