The story of Elf on the Shelf is simple:

The Elf on the Shelf® is a special scout elf sent from the North Pole to help Santa Claus manage his naughty and nice lists. When a family adopts an elf and gives it a name, the elf receives its Christmas magic and can fly to the North Pole each night to tell Santa Claus about all of the day’s adventures. Each morning, the elf returns to its family and perches in a different place to watch the fun. Children love to wake up and race around the house looking for their elf each morning.

There are two simple rules that every child knows when it comes to having an elf. First, an elf cannot be touched; Christmas magic is very fragile and if an elf is touched it may lose that magic and be unable to fly back to the North Pole. Second, an elf cannot speak or move while anyone in the house is awake! An elf’s job is to watch and listen.

  • I just love this fun elf for kids and it makes a great memorable tradition. Always love traditions.

  • I would put him in the cereal, christmas tree, and in the fridge my son would be so happy. Thank you

  • My nephew would definately put him on the toilet just to be funny.

  • I would put him in the food pantry to see who is sneaking snacks!

  • He would get into so mischief that the kids will be so excited to discover the adventures he had while they slept.

  • I think I would put it in the kitchen 🙂

  • i would put him on my grand daughters head board to look upon her and greet her in the morning.

  • I have so many ideas, I want as many as possible to be super fun!! def involving the fridge, food and the toilet. This will be our 1st year having one soI want to make it good!!!

  • I would have to have him messing in my granddaughters things and getting into all kinds of mischief.

  • I’d put him in my son’s backpack to check on how he is at school, by the dvd’s to see choice of movies watched, by my son’s game system to determine actual amount of game time played each day…….I could go on & on! 🙂

  • I would put him in the kid’s sock drawer so I would know if they clean socks out that morning!!

  • I’m gonna have him play naughty tricks on my teenagers!

  • I would put him in my sons ride on car and dump all of his cars out to make a huge mess and see what he does

  • In the fridge…..they’d be really surprised!

  • this would be a great way to encourage a childs imagination.

  • I would have him riding the train set we put under our Christmas tree.

  • I would set him up in a scene with him playing with my son’s dinosaurs. He loves his dinosaurs!!!

  • I think it would be cute to set him by the tree or peaking out of the tree with a ornament in his hand. I would love to have an Elf on the Shelf!!

  • I would put him on the pendulum of the grandfather clock (stop the pendulum 1st please, and leave it not swinging, clock set to maybe 3:45), on the shower head, sticking out of a tissue box, on the alarm clock, sitting on the dresser

  • I want to do the elf in a pile of flour and make it look like he was making snow angels! Also I love the fishing in the toilet for cheerios 🙂

  • I would put him on top of the washer, one time my sister-n-law put him atop a ceiling fan.

  • Such a simple way to build imagination in children with a book and a little elf. Would love.

  • We have taken pictures with one on lots of friends shoulders.

  • I would put him on my husbands desk at work. I would have a mutual friend put it there since I don’t work there. It would be funny because he would not know where it came from.

  • Oh let’s see the bathroom sitting on the toilet, maybe sitting on the tub.In their closets, at the front door, in the kitchen. The poses & place he could go would be limitless.

  • hmmm. i might put him on our unreachable window ledge. just need to figure out how to gt him there…lol

  • My niece’s would probably end up in the bathroom a few times. 😉

  • I’d leave it on top of our refrigerator!

  • I’d put him in the fridge at my sister’s house and make one of the shelves all messy then have my sister record my nieces faces when they see him in the fridge. LOL!!
I’m having problems getting daily emails from you. I started following you months ago but for some reason I haven’t seen one email from you. I’m glad I found a way to come enter a couple giveaways. Thank you 🙂
