Easter time is one of my most favorite times of the year. So many events happening simultaneously around that time from Spring Break at school, to the weather warming up and birds returning from a winter in the warmer climate and of course, Easter itself. When I was a young girl, I remember waking up and running to the family room to find my Easter basket filled with delightful treats, but what I always went for first and foremost was the PEEPS®.

The soft, marshmallow center, coated with a sweet sugary coating is the perfect, mouth-watering combination of candy sweetness. That is just one of the many reasons I have continued  with the tradition of filling my family’s Easter baskets with PEEPS®. While PEEPS® offers the classic shapes of PEEPS® Marshmallow Chicks and PEEPS® Marshmallow Bunnies in a variety of flavors and colors, they also offer newer and intriguing flavors, including some delicately dipped in a chocolate coating.
The most recent, and my personal favorite are PEEPS® dipped in sweet chocolate and coated with new, tantalizing flavors. Some of the new flavors include

  • PEEPS® Filled Delights™ Neapolitan Flavored Marshmallow Chicks

  • PEEPS® Delights™ Marshmallow Chicks Dipped in Milk Chocolate

  • PEEPS® Delights™ Blueberry Flavored Marshmallow Chicks Dipped in Dark Chocolate

  • PEEPS® Delights™ Coconut Flavored Marshmallow Chicks Dipped in Dark Chocolate

  • PEEPS® Delights™ Strawberry Flavored Marshmallow Chicks Dipped in Crème Flavored Fudge

  • PEEPS® Delights™ Lemon Sherbet Flavored Marshmallow Chicks

  • PEEPS® Delights™ Orange Sherbet Flavored Marshmallow Chicks

When our PEEPS® package arrived, the first think Jeffery noticed right away was the Party Cake flavor and couldn’t wait to try that one out for himself. Have someone who loves to venture off the traditional path? These newer PEEPS® flavors are a wonderful, flavorful explosion of goodness with every bite. These adventurous flavors of  PEEPS® Marshmallow Chicks include:

  • PEEPS® Sour Cherry Flavored Marshmallow Chicks

  • PEEPS® Fruit Punch Flavored Marshmallow Chicks

  • PEEPS® Sour Watermelon Flavored Marshmallow Chicks

  • PEEPS® Party Cake Flavored Marshmallow Chicks

  • Lemon sherbet flavored Peeps? Cool

  • PEEPS may not be my favorite treat but their cousins, Mike & Ike’s and Peanut Chews, are!

  • I love Peeps. When I was a teenager we used to stick them to the dashboard and leave them until they turned hard as rocks!

  • I’ve seen so many creative dishes with PEEPS; I think the birds nest ones are really cute.

  • I remember when the only Peeps you could get were the yellow chicks. I guess I am old!

  • In addition to Easter and Christmas, I wonder if they make other holiday PEEPS.

  • I’ve never seen Christmas PEEPS before.

  • Peeps are totally good! It’s nice to see that they have a Sugar Free option too!

  • The sour varieties sound interesting. I’d give it a go.

  • These are always fun! The Christmas ones are great too! <3

  • We were at a cheerleading competition and there was a PEEPS store near the venue. It was so funny seeing all these uniformed cheerleaders walking back to the hotel with these huge, stuffed PEEPS. lol

  • These all look tasty–Peeps are good! The Orange Sherbet ones would be great combined with vanilla ice cream!

  • Thanks for sharing your childhood Easter memories.

  • PEEPS are the proverbial love -em or hate -em kind of treat, I think.

  • I wonder if the sugar-free version tastes as good as the regular.

  • Peeps–all American Easter classic sweet! I can honestly eat WAY too many of these!

  • I was just at the supermarket and saw PEEP-filled Oreos. Those wouldn’t last long!

  • I’d love to use all the flavors to create Easter treat bags for my nieces and nephews…and have them guess their flavor.

  • Peeps are so cute and an American classic! I haven’t tried some of these flavors!

  • They come in so many colors now!

  • Peeps are tasty! I’m curious about those chocolate dipped blueberry ones!

  • I’m really disappointed that I didn’t see any PEEPS displays that contained all these varieties during Easter.

  • All the different flavors would be great paired with similarly colored krispie treats. What a cute display that would make.

  • With so many flavors, you could really create personalized gifts based on each recipient’s favorites.

  • Peeps are tasty! I’ve not seen many of these flavors though!

  • It wouldn’t be Easter without the Peeps.

  • I have seen some beautiful and crazy creative cakes made using PEEPS. I’m always in awe of those that can do that.

  • I’ve only seen the regular peeps, none of those on a stick or dipped in chocolate.

  • I love the different flavors Peeps has, especially the sour watermelon flavor. I definitely want to try the fruit punch, and the other new flavors they have.

  • I have a friend who might be enticed to try the Watermelon Peeps. He loves watermelon!

  • I think the Peeps on a stick are so darn cute.

  • My husband can’t wait for peep season. Lol

  • I like that they have gift sets – perfect when you’re making several Easter baskets.

  • Blueberry peeps? Cool!

  • These new varieties would be so pretty on a PEEPS Easter cake.

  • I had a college roommate who loved PEEPS but would let them get a little stale so the outside crunched.

  • I think the Sherbert-flavored Peeps would be interesting to try.

  • There is an official Peeps store not to far from me that is a huge hit for visitors. I’m sure they carry all the newest flavors, that I unfortunately don’t see all the time in grocery stores.

  • Peeps are so darned cute!

  • I love that the iconic Peep comes dipped in chocolate now, joining the chocolate covered marshmallow Santas. 😉

  • Peeps are such a mood thing for me. Sometimes I could really go for them and other times, not so much.

  • I don’t normally buy these but I would like to try the chocolate-covered coconut flavor.

  • I love that they offer so many different flavors. However, the one that sticks out for me is the chocolate-covered Peep.

  • Peeps have been such a mainstay of Easter baskets for years. Now they have so many varieties! A visit to a brick and mortar Peeps store is a must if there’s one in your area.

  • Sorry but I am so Not a peeps person.

  • We’re not big Peeps fans in my house. Most people either love ‘em or hate ‘em!

  • Do not like these they have too much sugar for me

  • I have to get some of these new flavors. I always loved Peeps

  • I didn’t know they have party cake peeps! I like the dark chocolate dipped ones.

  • “Party Cake” flavor??! …Oh my goodness. I can’t wait to see how far this Peeps craziness will go. (But there’s just something about all this that I looooove…..)
I remember last year, when I was out doing some grocery shopping and randomly came across a Peeps Pop. I bought one just for the fun of it, and to show it to people. Sure enough, people were just oddly fascinated by these new “Peeps on a stick.” 🙂

  • I can’t believe these are still on the market. I guess it’s a good filler item. Something not chocolate.

  • I have never liked them. I’m not fond of the flavor or texture.

  • I don’t care for Peeps, but there so cute I decorate with them!

  • I”d like to try the sugar free! I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love Peeps! I’ve not tried the PEEPS Delights Lemon Sherbet Flavored Marshmallow Chicks – they sound good!
