Have you ever tried to get rid of that wet dog smell? My area rug, pet beds and even my comforter all smelled like dog! I love my dogs, but I can’t stand the smell of wet dogs or doggie pee accidents. BORAX is the solution to my dog smell issues! First I added Borax to the washing machine that was full of dog beds and small rugs. I have hard water and Borax naturally softens hard water which maximizes my cleaning power! It really made a difference. When they were dry, they really looked cleaner and smelled better than the last time I washed them without Borax.
I also made a Borax mixture and sprayed it on my big area rug in the living room. I scrubbed it into half of the rug and let it dry. I treated the other half of the rug with Arm & Hammer carpet sprinkle. I then vacuumed the whole rug and I was pleasantly surprised at how much cleaner and fresher the Borax side turned out. It removed stains that I had tried to remove in the past and they didn’t go away. The Carpet sprinkle just masks the smell, it doesn’t take it away! I love that Borax is all natural. I don’t have to worry about my pups laying on nasty chemicals that could make them sick.
