Faced with few options, Cory is forced to entered rehab.  Celebrate Recovery is his last option.

Thinking he can return home, make a speedy recovery and return to his former life as a baseball player, Cory soon finds out that this is not the case.  He runs into many obstacles that he thought he had hidden deeply within him, including the love of his life, that he left behind so many years earlier.  Cory’s desire to have everyone’s approval shows in his love and play of baseball.  In the end, his has no choice but to face the obstacles that have haunted him for so long. With his unexpected second chance, Cory finds himself on a powerful journey of transformation and redemption.

Produced by Carol Spann Mathews & Tom Newman, this movie is Based on thousands of true stories, HOME RUN is a powerful reminder that with God, it’s never too late … freedom is possible.

I was really impressed with this movie.  Not being a HUGE lover of baseball, I was unsure how I would feel about it. This movie had me enthralled from the first few moments.

Coming from a family who has members that have struggled with addiction, I could relate to the main character, which really made me love this movie most of all.   Not really intended for young children to watch, as they would not truly grasp the story.  Keep some tissue handy, as this movie proves to be an inspiring view with a roller coaster of emotions (all good ones).
