I will be completely honest, before blogging, I didn’t even know what the acronym “SEO” meant.  To be more completely honesty, even after blogging, it took me awhile to “Grasp” what “SEO” meant. Do you know what SEO means?

The term SEO, by definition is:

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of affecting the visibility of a website or a web page in a search engine’s “natural” or un-paid (“organic”) search results. In general, the earlier (or higher ranked on the search results page), and more frequently a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine’s users. SEO may target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, video search, academic search,[1] news search and industry-specific vertical search engines.

So if you are a blogger, or website owner, there are many ways you can optimize your search results in major search engines such as Google or Bing.  Using a great plugin on your site, such as SEO by Yoast is a great and simple way to optimize your SEO results when people are searching the web for information. Using key terms and no overlinking your post will really help optimize your search results.  Also making sure you are the verified user of your site will improve your image results.

There are so many ways to learn and enhance your SEO knowledge and results.  Make sure to do your research and educate yourself well, or even consider an SEO Consultant, and get your site enhanced and on that first page of any search engine.
