Safe Volume Limits

Volume limits are a necessity to protect our children’s hearing, but why does it have to be industry standards to to where they can’t hear over other noises? You also need to take into account the length of listening time. 85db is safe for eight hours of continuous listening, and was chosen specifically for its duration. But this makes the conventional volume limit unreliable in noisy situations such as air and car travel, which can have ambient sound levels well above 85db. LilGadgets Headphones have a limit of 93db for boosting performance for in these situations so they can hear the music or movie over the outside noise.
