My 2013 Kia Optima #Review
My latest review in the amazing line of Kia vehicles was this beautiful 2013 Kia Optima.
For another week, Kia gave me the opportunity to review this amazing vehicle. The first thing I noted was the unique and eye-catching color. Friends and family called it a variety of colors including cinnamon, raisin, mahogany and purple. The actual color is Dark Cherry. I loved how all week long it was a guessing game on the color alone of the vehicle. 🙂
The 2013 Kia Optima retails for $24,524.00. This fully-loaded vehicle includes superb perks, such as:
- 17″ Alloy Wheels
- Heated outside mirrors with Turn Signal Indicators
- Leather seat trim
- Push Button Start w/ Smart Key
- Heated Front Seats
- Dual-Zone Automatic Temp Control w/ Rear Vents
- Sirius Satellite Radio w/ Free, 3-month subscription
- BLUETOOTH Wireless Technology, including hands-free phone usage
- USB for Apple products
- Power adjustable driver seats
- Cruise-Control
I immediately took this beauty out for spin. I noted right away the get-up-and-go this car had. With 6-Speed Sportmatic Transmission, this was the fastest Kia I have driven thusfar. My amazing car also included:
- Electric Power Steering
- 2.4L Gas Direct Injection, 4 Cyl Engine
- Front Fog Lamps
- Dual Exhausts with Chrome Tips
Plenty of leg room and comfort for everyone. This car seats 5 people very comfortable. The front-driver seat is power adjustable and the parties that sat behind me still had plenty of leg room. At one point I had 5 adults in the vehicle between 5’2″ and 6’3″ and everyone kept noting how room this vehicle was for everyone. Being a taller woman myself, I always worry about leg room. I have been considering purchasing a small SUV for more leg room alone, but after driving this Kia Optima, I have now opened my mind to a roomier sedan such as this.
Providing ample trunk space, this car is perfect for a typical family and travel.
This car handled very well in the rainy weather (as you can tell it was raining the day I took my photos. The vehicle provided great control and maneuverability and the tires provided great traction on the wet roads.
I would definitely recommend the 2013 Kia Optima to everyone looking for a reasonably priced vehicle, with great leg room, low gas mileage, fully loaded and the best vehicle warranty on the market.
I would like to thank the wonderful reps at Kia Motors for the opportunity to test drive the 2013 Kia Optima. Thank you for this experience.
The price is good and I love the leg room in the backseat!
well done on the review, great photos! looks like it has lots of features
I’d consider this if I can ever afford a new car (my Lumina has well over 200,000 miles on it!)
Thanks for the reivew. The KIA is a really good and has reasonable pricing.
I like the car. I don’t want to buy a new care any time soon.
That is a really nice car. I like the inside of it.
Thanks for the interesting info. One of my daughters in law refuses to even consider a Kia. This will be fun to share with her – and give us more to think about.
Very good review. I would consider purchasing one now.
Very informative review, makes me maybe consider Kia. Always thought too small and slow, but you said otherwise.
That looks really nice! If I win some cash maybe I can get one! LOL Sounds like you had a great time doing this review! 🙂
I have been hearing a lot about these cars lately and felt comfortable enough that when my daughter wanted some advice on which cars to check out, I told her to make sure she checked out Kia’s cars before she made any decisions. I heard that they get great gas mileage.
Looks like a fun family car. I would love the Heated Front Seats.
Beautiful car! The heated seats would be real nice to have
It looks really nice and sporty for a sedan.
It’s beautiful. I love the color and it looks so classy inside.
Great little care! Love the color, sporty looking and roomy.
This looks awesome. i am in need of a new car and leg room also. I love all the gadgets that it has also.
We are a two Kia family. I drive a 2009 Kia Rio 5 and my husband has a 2004 Kia Spectra. Both cars have held up fairly well, but we’ve found over time that things like the paint on the 2009 will chip easily because it was put on so thinly. Both have been fairly low maintenance, but I’m aching for a Mazda Miata to satisfy my beach lovers soul!
That is gorgeous! Enjoy!
looks like a fun car to drive, I am loving the heated outdoor mirrors and seats, esp. in the winter months those would be great options to have!
Have never drove a kia but it sure is a nice looking car and with great gas mileage.
The more I look at this car the more I like it and I have a friend h=who has one and she just loves it !
I would love the gas mileage, this is a beautiful

I’d love to get great gas mileage like this car has. Looks like a wonderful car for the family looks roomy.

This looks like a great car! I need a new one! Great review!
Very nice review on the Kia.There are lots of good things and it is affordable.
That is a cool color and seems to be more roomy than I’d figure it to be. Wish I could get one. I’d love to have the gas mileage. I drive an Expedition. A real guzzler.
Ha! Before I even read the first line of your review I thought “Wow that’s a unique color!” It really is a gorgeous car, inside and out! Kia’s seem to be becoming more popular. I’ll have to check it out.
I’ve was lucky to get to drive one through a rental company. They are great cars and the gas mileage was awesome!
kias are a great car!! I own a kia sportage myself. LOVE IT!
Love the heated mirror.
This car sounds awesome! I love how it has Sirius radio!
Great car!! My first car was a Kia Sophia and it was a good car. The Optima’s are nice looking cars. You can’t go wrong with a Kia!!
Your review was very helpful. I am not currently shopping for a car, but if I were! Thanks!
The only feature I love that I don’t see in this car is the rear back up camera. Not sure if they put them in sedan, as my car is an SUV. I love all the other features, especially the apple USB charger and Bluetooth technology. I also like that so many adults fit comfortably in this car.
My little dog would love the feeder & I would too, no more kicking the water bowl & making a mess!!!
Looks like an awesome car for the city with all the awesome features.
wow what a nice car
I use to have a friend that had a kia. she drove it for over 225000 miles. your car looks so awesome. looks sporty. everything looks like its in convenient places. steering wheel radio . I wouldn’t mind driving one of these for a month or so to see if I like it.
Wish I could drive nice car
