Freshman year in high school, I had extremely long curly hair and it was a nightmare. I’m so glad I finally ended up cutting it.
when i didn’t have the money to go the hairdresser and i try to perm and do it myself
i bleached my naturally dark brown hair to blonde (i have fair skin and really dark eyebrows). Then I decided to color it auburn. It turned bright ass purple. Like Minnesota Vikings PURPLE. Oh it was awful. Then I got it bleached – which made it turn orange. Then finally – back to brown.

1995 school field trip. Just had my hair straighten when out of no where the raid decided to prank me. I ran for cover and thought I was saved until I heard a friend say “cool I didn’t know your hair would do that” followed by laughter. My unruly mane went from straight to puffy in zero seconds flats. Needless to say I spent that 30 min bus ride home with a jacket over my head.
My father insisted on cutting my hair himself when I was 8 because he was unbelievably cheap.
At my 7th birthday, I told my mom that I would do my hair myself. I guess I didn’t like having her do it, but my hair ended up looking horribly, and I definitely couldn’t part my hair straight.
I rocked a bald head when I was a teen.. no bueno!

My friend tried to home color my hair back in the 80’s. My hair turned purple.

I think the 80s was a little hair adventure for everyone lol. Most of my hair issues were when I was younger, about 7/8ish. My older cousin cut my hair once, it was super long and she cut it above my shoulders. My mom FREAKED! lol.

I had always had long hair until third grade when my mom decited to cut my hair the day before picture day. When my mom started cutting she kept cutting at a angle. So I ended up with short hair. I cried and cried and kept telling saying she gave me a boy haircut. Worst school picture ever. I have yet to have my hair cut above my sholders.
My worst hairstyle was something I had no control over, but sadly I have the school pictures to prove it. I have very thick red hair, and my mom had it looking like a mushroom in 3rd and 4th grade.

my hair is dry and frizz prone so living in sc with all the humidity just about everyday and especially on beach vacations
The 80s must have been terrible for many of us! My worst moment also took place in that time period! A can of aqua net and some VERY flared out wings!
Had to laugh at the other comments… Funny! Mine was when I got a perm. I was told it would help with the kinky curls by making large waves. It didnt work! I looked like a poodle with a bad hair day, only it lasted for months!
Mine has to do with a Sun-In fiasco…my hair was like 5 different colors when it grew out! Awesome.

I have natural curly hair and wanted a cute bob. but it ended up VERY mushroom-y. it sucked!!!
