Walk along the Thames in London
You could spend the whole of your vacation in London, trying to take in every piece of history and culture. One of the best ways to see the city is by strolling the Thames embankment, starting from Westminster Abbey and the Palace of Westminster with its iconic landmark, Big Ben.
Crossing the water and continuing along the riverbank you will pass sites like the London Eye, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, London Bridge, and finally Tower Bridge and the Tower of London. If you’re looking for something fun for the children, stop by the Natural History Museum and the Science Museum, whose interactive exhibits are sure to wow.
Explore Edinburgh Castle and the Pentlands
The capital of Scotland, Edinburgh is a city that appears plucked from history and is begging to be discovered on foot. The narrow cobbled streets and wynds that weave through the old town give it an air of mystery.

Known throughout the world for its football club, Manchester United, why not begin your visit with an Old Trafford tour? Fun for the whole family, the club calls it, “the greatest football story ever told.” Afterwards, have a relaxing afternoon and “tow the line” on one of Mersey Ferries ship canal cruises, or make for the Museum of Transportation and explore the cities old busses and trams.
Relax on Brighton beach
Only two hours south of London, Brighton is a coastal town that has plenty of sand and good times to offer. The highlight is the famous Brighton Pier, which is filled with restaurants and theme-park rides. For a little culture, don’t miss the Royal Pavilion, an exotic palace in the center of town that mixes Regency grandeur with a visual flare of India and China.
