Win an Entenmann’s Earth Day Prize Pack (Ends 04/08/15)
It’s almost Earth Day! How are you encouraging your kids to make a difference? We can help! Entenmann’s is sponsoring a fun giveaway with Mom Does Reviews and my blog and you can enter another sweepstakes too!
KIDS CAN TURN LITTLE BITES POUCHES INTO CASH FOR THEIR SCHOOL:
Entenmann’s Little Bites snacks, the individually portioned lunch snack that is perfect for lunch boxes and grab-and-go fun, has partnered with the recycling and upcycling experts at TerraCycle to create new lives for used Little Bites pouches, while at the same time help fundraise for schools. Flavors include Little Bites Chocolate Chip Muffins, Little Bites Crumb Cakes and new for 2015 Little Bites Party Cakes. As part of the Little Bites “Turn Trash to Cash” program, participating Pouch Brigades throughout the country collect empty Little Bites pouches to earn points that can be redeemed as cash for the school; the used packaging can also be turned into innovative new products at TerraCycle such as tote bags, pencil cases and even picnic benches. The Little Bites “Turn Trash to Cash” campaign demonstrates Entenmann’s dedication to recycling and reducing the amount of Entenmann’s Little Bites pouches that end up in landfills each year.

For earth day I use the opportunity to connect recycling with math using pi charts and graphs. At the end of the lesson I have kids sign a contract promising to be more environmentally conscious.

We recycle
Recycle
work in our garden
Plant a tree.
We recycle and reuse items throughout the year and I talk to my kids about taking care of the Earth and read books to them about it on Earth Day.
Usually Something around the house. One year we planted a Postage Stamp Orchard. Which is an orchard of about 7 Dwarf trees of a variety of fruits. Then came nut trees. One year it was a big strawberry bed….
I didn’t make any plans for this Earth Day at all.
I don’t have any plans for Earth Day at this time.
Plant a tree and compost
I really have never done anything for Earth Day!
i don’t do anything
I don’t really do anything special for earth day.
I recycle cans
I admit, I don’t do much specifically on that day. I do however, recycle, use green products, and donate to local charities that support healthy and green living all during the year 🙂
Honestly we don’t do anything. As my 3yr old grandson becomes more aware we will
replant trees and flowers
We declutter the home and giveaway things to charities.
We recycle and pick up trash on earth day
