My Thoughts:
As much as I love my electronic devices and being able to read any book or look up any recipe online; I still love my physical books.
There is something about holding a book and turning the pages. I am also a note taker, so I love to write in my books. My bible has notes on just about every page and all of our favorite recipes have ingredient adjustments that are made to tweak the dish to our liking.
I find physical books make great gift ideas for those that are just starting out (if topics on cooking, homemaking, or repairs), and for those that are a little older (like me) that enjoy the feel and smell of real books.
If you have some of the same folks on your shopping list, the books listed above would be great gift ideas. Robert Rose Books carries just about any topic you would want to search and they are one of the leading publishers of high quality books.
