Build your own Infiniti JX ~One can Dream Right??
The new Infiniti JX has the advantage of offering a front-wheel-drive version as well as an all-wheel-drive version. That gives Infiniti powertrain advantage over most SUVs in its class. The base FWD JX starts at $40,450. The AWD version is $41,550.
Accessing the third row on the JX with just an upward tug on the second-row seatback resulted in a spring-loaded launch forward and an opening big enough for a real adult to crawl through. The model on the show stand had a sunroof, so our headroom was pretty scrunched back there. Nevertheless, the third row is for when you have more than 4 passengers, so a lack of headroom in the third row will rarely be an issue.
Fold down the third row of seats an amazing amount of cargo room, though it is not completely flat, so anything round you place in the back will roll to the rear door by the time you get to your destination.
The dash has a distinct Infiniti look, that includes the ability to download your calendar and other data from your phone. It also syncs with Inifiniti’s Personal Assistant, your own portable concierge.
The JX is powered by a 265-hp, 248-lb-ft version of the venerable VQ35DE V6 mated to a CVT. The JX goes on sale in April.
