It’s hard to imagine a parent or caregiver could ever forget to unstrap a child from a parked car, but hectic lives can result in a lapse of memory.

I am so very happy to be reviewing CoPilot Car Seat Automatic Alert System by American Home Safety Products,  because hearing more and more about children being left in cars is heartbreaking. AHSP has come up with ways to help us busy parents not forget our precious cargo in the backseat when we are out and about. This is a great and important item to get as a gift for new parents or even seasoned parents like myself.

The Car Seat CoPilot Automatic Alert System is a seat belt clip sensor that attaches to the straps of your infant/car seat, which also comes with two key fobs (one for each set of car keys), and uses Radio Frequency (RF) to transmit a signal that triggers the alarm sound within the key fob. It is a patented use of radio wave communication for this product. Simply connect Part A and Part B of the Car Seat seatbelt clip sensor, which will then automatically pair with one of the two key fob alarms. Once the seat belt clip and key fob have been successfully paired, the seat belt clip’s LED light will flash five times, while the key fob LED light turns blue and beeps twice. Once connected and secured, the seat belt clip communicates with the key fob and will set off an alarm if separated by more than 10 feet from your vehicle and your child strapped in. With just three easy steps and a five minute installation time, this simple option for parents is preventing mishaps from ever occurring.

The Car Seat CoPilot Automatic Alert System purposely does not rely on a smartphone app cellular data coverage, BluetoothTM technology, or WiFi connectivity, indicating that it should work at all times.

It includes a Rechargeable Lithium Ion battery, with a standby time of approximately 63 days, and only requires about 30 minutes to charge completely.

Features:

  • PATENTED TECHNOLOGY: The CoPilot purposely does not rely on a smartphone app cellular data coverage, BluetoothTM technology, or WiFi connectivity, indicating that it should work at all times.

  • HOW IT WORKS: The CoPilot is a seat belt clip sensor that attaches to the straps of your infant/car seat, transmitting a signal that triggers the alarm sound with the key fob (included), when separated by more than 10 feet.

  • WHY YOU NEED IT: At least 52 children have died in unattended cars so far this year, making it the second worst year in history, and with the holiday madness coming up, it can continue to happen because no parent thinks it can happen to them.
