Disclosure: Dyson was great enough to provide me a free vacuum in exchange for my 100% honest review.

Dyson DC65 Animal #Review | It's Free At Last

Vacuuming is one of those things that most people hate to do, but it needs to be done.  Lugging the thing out of the closest, fighting with it to get around awkward turns, and having to use an attachment to get right next to baseboards and the wall.  Thanks to the new Dyson DC65 Upright Vacuum, though, you get a great vacuum that makes this “annoying” job a little easier (and a lot better)!  Here’s a great video from Dyson explaining a little bit about the DC65:

Dyson’s new DC65 vacuum can be used on carpets, wood, vinyl, ceramic, wood, stone, and laminate floors!  With twice the suction of any other vacuum, you are sure to get a great deep clean of your carpet or hard floor.  If you have children especially smaller children who are on the floor a lot, this is especially a great thing.

Out of the box, there are several pieces that you have to attach to the actual vacuum itself.  The instruction book, that is included, explains everything very well, though, and makes putting it together a breeze.  It took less than 10 minutes – and that was even with a toddler trying to “help”!

After using the Dyson D65 Animal, I have fallen in LOVE with it!  After vacuuming Miss Riley’s room, which is done 1-2 times a week, this is what came out of the carpet:

Can you say disgusting?!  The fact that this much dirt and hair was in Riley’s carpet, even after it’s vacuumed at least 2 times a week, it really sickens me.  She sits on the floor and plays with toys and does puzzles and watches movies.  There is no need for that dirt to be there!

The Dyson did a miracle job on the front entry way, as well.  Of course it’s a high traffic area, but it made the carpet there look almost new!  It was so great!

One of the big things about the Dyson DC65 Animal that I love (among quite a few things) is the fact that has edge to edge cleaning.  The engineers at Dyson redesigned the cleaner head so the brush bar was able to have end to end coverage.  I loved not having to get down on the floor and using an attachment to get the stuff that was by the baseboards.

Speaking of attachments… the DC65 Animal came with 4 different attachments, including the tangle-free turbine and the soft dusting brush.  The soft dusting brush is great for removing dust and allergens from delicate areas and upohlstery.  The tangle-free Turbine is great for removing hair.  This is perfect for you if you or someone in your household has long hair or if you have pets.  You’ll be able to get he hair off your couch, or even blankets – I used it for our blankets because the washer and dryer didn’t get it off very well!

Another great perk of the Dyson DC65 Animal is the fact that there’s no bags to deal with!  When it gets to the Max line, you just hold it over your garbage can and press the button the handle down and voila – it releases all that nasty dirt and hair!  And the fact that there’s no filters you have to buy (it comes with a filter that you wash, very easily, yourself), so there’s no extra added expense.

The Dyson DC65 Animal, retail valued at $599.99, is definitely for someone who wants a vacuum that does it’s job and does it well.  There really are no downsides to the performance of this vacuum!
