Self-esteem is such a strong and powerful word. It is an every more powerful feeling. It can pave the way a person feels about their everyday life and even the way a person interacts with others daily.
Growing up as the youngest of three with a single mom was tough. My mom worked a lot to provide for us and keep food on the table and a roof over our heads. Sometimes, at the end of the day, she would barely have the strength to keep her eyes open, but still made time to talk to me about my day, school and friends. She kept a my spirits high and my esteem elevated and I believe is the reason I am a strong and confident woman and mother today.
I am a single mother myself. I am blessed to have a good job that provides a decent living for my family. My daughter is very active in our community, sports and her friends. Thanks to my mom helping me along the way, I have the building blocks needed to help provide my daughter with the confidence and positive self-esteem she needs to become a successful young lady. With work, sports, school and everything chaotic consuming most of our time, we still manage to talk about our lives everyday, spend a little extra time together and make it a habit of taking a “Just Us” day monthly. Be it dinner, a movie, shopping or even the park, this plays a vital role in our relationship and her self-esteem. Letting her know I am always there for her is a key piece of confidence she has and needs.

My niece and I talk and watch movies together.
As a mother of three girls, we do a lot of family things together. From watching movies. to cooking full meals. Love spending time with my daughters.
I spend time with my girls alot. We go shopping and we cook together alot. We have great conversations especially while we are cooking.
I spend time with my daughter all the time. She comes over and we talk or just watch tv together. We also go shopping.
I like to take my niece out to do girly things. We talk, we get our nails done, we go to the movies.

I have four boys so I try to spend time with my niece by taking her for a girls spa day.
Spa day, snuggle and watch movies, trips to stores like claire’s
I read to her every night in bed even though she excels at reading herself.
We go out for lunch once a month to catch up on things.
I like to spend time with my niece encouraging her and letting her know that she can do anything.

We talk, we listen and we do things together as friends like shopping and just hanging out together. I’m always there when they need to talk and they know that.
