Hannah’s Prom Journey 2013
In our small town, the local high school only allows junior’s and senior’s to attend prom. If you are a freshman or sophomore, you can only attend if accompanied by an upper-classman. My beautiful daughter is a sophomore and was asked by a nice gentleman to accompany him to the prom this year.
What an amazing journey it turned out to be. Watching as she picked out a dress, getting her hair, nails and makeup done. She transformed from a quirky teenager, into a beautiful young woman for her night of enchantment. Below are just a few photos of her journey to prom.
First stop, nails and toes. As you can see, she was in rare form and acting goofy 🙂
Next stop, hair. Let me tell you, she has the thickest, longest hair of anyone in my family. This portrait collage shows her hair and the amount of pins it took to keep that beautiful style up all night. (And yes, this is all her real hair, no hairpieces!!!)
Next step, makeup. She has a friend who is like a makeup artist in the making. Thanks to Maddie for making her look as stunning and radiant as she did. 🙂
The final step, the dress. She donned her beautiful Calvin Klein gown and as you can see, it was truly stunning on her.
This was her first date. I love the smile on her face as she and her date present each other with the traditional corsage and boutonnière.
I am one proud mama, for sure. SO proud of the young lady she has become. 🙂
Thanks to Calvin Klein, Fiesta Salons, Alfani Shoes, Saigon Nails and Maddie for making this day a day we will both always remember
You guys look so happy in these pictures, I’m sure it truly was a night to remember for all of you 🙂
