It is the holiday season and we will be cooking up some delicious meals for our family and friends. Dutch Ovens are great for large meals, and they can handle as much as you can throw in there. Food Network has this great Enameled Cast Iron Dutch Oven that will get you through all the family meals coming up. I cannot wait to start cooking.

Dutch ovens are great for one-pot meals. You can get the Dutch oven hot enough to brown meat and sauté onions, add herbs and veggies and anything else you want, add the liquid and bring it to a boil and then lower the heat. When you put it in the oven you know it’s going to keep the low heat and cook just the way you want it. If you always make cornbread in a cast iron frying pan and it’s in use, use a Dutch oven, it will be fine.

Maybe your grandma makes her famous roast in one of these big pots on Sundays, or perhaps you just see lots of recipes calling for a Dutch oven and you’re curious. Either way, a Dutch oven is essential for any serious cook. This kitchen workhorse is a heavy pot with a tight-fitting lid, usually made from enameled cast iron, which you can use on the stove or in the oven — and once you’ve braised a roast or simmered a stew in one, you’ll never look back. We put several to the test to see which ones are worth the investment.

Available in: Black, White, Turmeric, Navy Ombre, Red Ombre,
Turquoise Ombre, and Grey Ombre
● Sturdy enameled cast-iron construction
● Basting spikes in the lid control moisture, keeping food juicy
● Great for preparing everyday one-pot meals and baking bread
● Oven safe to 500°F

You can purchase at Kohls, and other retail stores that sell kitchen cookware.
