Do you take natural supplements to help promote better health? What if you were able to do the same, and make a small, but very meaningful contribution to Ocean awareness? Let me tell you how you can do just that with Calgee Vegan Omega-3 Supplements.

About Calgee:

Calgee was started by Prateek and Shreya Agarwal, a vegetarian husband and wife, after receiving cholesterol and heart health news at a routine check-up in 2020. The news was shocking, given their relatively young ages and healthy vegetarian lifestyle. The doctor recommended fish oil supplements. As vegetarians, the Agarwals weren’t too excited about gulping down capsules of oil harvested from captive fish. They didn’t feel like it was fair that they had to choose between their health and their morals. That’s when they discovered vegan omega-3 oil supplements on the market that could offer a sustainable substitute to fish oil. But they were disappointed again. They found that most of these capsules contained carrageenan, which is known to cause stomach inflammation. Realizing that nothing on the market truly fit their needs, they created our own product. They set out to create something pure, sustainable, and environmentally good.

Why Calgee was started:

The Problem:
Traditional Omega-3 is not always great for the planet. Traditional fish oil hurt the marine eco-system through destructive overfishing. Other vegan algae oil supplements contain carrageenan.

The Solution:
Created a pure, potent algae oil free of anything you don’t need in your body. Calgee’s tapioca soft gel contains no carrageenan. Calgee strives only to use post-consumer recycled content in its packaging.

Calgee is:
  • 100% Vegan
  • Made in the USA
  • Non-GMO
  • 3rd Party Tested
  • Gluten Free
  • No Carrageenan

Calgee is committed to sustainability from plant to package. Calgee’s packaging pouches are carbon-negative, plant-based, and 100% recyclable, made from plant-based plastic derived from sugarcane versus fossil fuels.

Calgee’s initial run of pouches generated a negative carbon footprint of 31 kg after taking production and logistics emissions into account.
