Mavea Pitcher #Review & #Giveaway (Ends 12/26/12)

This post may contain affiliate links or I may have received the product free in exchange for my honest review. See full disclosure for more information.

The Mavea Water Filter Pitcher is an attractive, easy to use, quick processing filter that removes odors and many common contaminants.  The elongated footprint allows it to fit in most refrigerator doors for convenience, and the automatic pour through lid of the Mavea  Elemaris XL opens and closes automatically.  Just put in a stream of water to fill, and the lid closes when the reservoir is full.

The MAVEA water filter cartridge with unique MAVEA MAXTRA filtration technology provides cleaner, great-tasting filtered water.

MAVEA water filter cartridge reduces:

  • Chlorine taste and odor and limescale for a great taste of hot and cold drinks,
  • Contaminants such as:
    • heavy metals (like cadmium, copper, mercury),
    • organic impurities (such as benzene, MTBE and tetrchloroethylene)
    • pesticides (e.g atrazine or simazine) for your well being.

The MAVEA water filter cartridge prolongs the lifetime of your domestic appliance by reducing limescale-build up.  Did you know that you can also go green with MAVEA’s 100% recyclable filters?  That alone sets them apart from other water filtration systems!

I’ve have tried a few water filtration pitchers, but Mavea has become my favorite by far.  I was thrilled when I was given the chance to review a Mavea Elemaris XL water filtration pitcher!

Getting started was very easy.  First thing done was cleaning the pitcher, then I activated the pitcher, I just filled up the reservoir and waited a few minutes until it filtered through.  I really like how simple the filling method is!  You simply place the pitcher, with the lid still on, under the faucet and the stream of water activates the automatic pour through lid. The pour through lid closes automatically when the maximum water level has been reached.

As soon as the water had filtered, I poured myself a glass and tried it out.  Even on the first taste, I could see the difference.  My water didn’t have the funny, city-water taste that it normally does.  I was truly surprised with the filtration!

Another unique and handy benefit of Mavea filtration pitcher is that it has a little filter meter on the lid.  You simply press the button when you first use your pitcher and the meter lets you know how much more usage your filter has before it’s time to replace it.  *Mavea recommends you change your filter  at least every 2 months to ensure optimum filtration performance.

Overalll, I love the Mavea  Elemaris XL water filtration pitcher and would recommend it to anyone who wants to have cleaner, great tasting water to drink.

You can purchase a Mavea Elemaris XL on Amazon for only $34.99! (ships for FREE with Super Saver Shipping!) It comes in a wide array of colors to choose from to match most any kitchen decor.
