My favorite piece of jewelry that I own is my Mom’s class ring. Prior to her passing she gave it to me because I am her first born daughter. Her and I were very close and this piece of jewelry is worth MORE to me for sentimental reasons than it would be appraised at. I will pass it down to my daughter upon the time for it to be passed because I feel this will become a valuable gift upon the appropriate time. My daughter was very close to my Mom and upon knowing that it was hers, I feel she will feel truly blessed upon receiving it. That time will be on her wedding day for the something old aspect!
