Some 2020 Events You Can Look Forward To Once Lockdown Has Finished

Lockdown has put 2020 on hold – events have been cancelled, suspended, or moved, putting a big dent in your social calendar and giving you the itch of needing something to look forward to.

I’ve picked out three incredible events that are happening in America and even hinted at some brilliant ideas that could see you going to Europe or Asia.

Check out the events and then add them to your calendar.

Fun In The Sun Poker Open

Fun In The Sun Poker Open is one of the premier gaming events in the U.S. – it’s a five-day poker tournament that gives players the chance to test their skills against some of the biggest names in the game.

Starting on Boxing Day, Fun In The Sun is a great place to continue the fun of the holiday season – you can continue the spirit of playing games and hopefully win back some of the cash that you spent buying Christmas gifts!

When is it happening? 26-30 December 2020

Where is it happening? Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Hollywood, California

Lockdown is a great opportunity for you to practice your poker skills before the event.

You can read up on different strategies by checking out the resources at top gambling sites and practice your skills by playing at an online cardroom or casino.

And if you’re really keen, then this calendar from OnlineCasinos has some great UK poker tournaments and Asian events that you could consider adding to your event schedule.

Return of the NFL season

The start of the NFL season is the biggest sporting event in the calendar – until the Super Bowl. It’s the return of live football, with 32 teams facing off against each other, and some bitter rivalries being renewed.

Everyone needs hope in their lives and the 101st NFL season offers plenty of it.

The hope that your team can improve on their previous performance, the hope that you have bragging rights over your friends, and the hope that comes from being surrounded by thousands of your fellow fans.

When is it happening? 9 September 2020

Where is it happening? All over the U.S.

There’s no football on right now but there’s so much that you can catch up on.

Watching highlights of previous seasons is a great way of passing the time until this fantastic event kicks off. You can watch some great NFL moments by checking out the video below:

Coachella

Coachella is one of the largest festivals in America and one of the premier music events in the scene, with a dazzling array of stars both performing and attending it.

A huge amount of genres are covered, with rock, hip hop, pop, and dance all among the sounds you can expect to hear, and the lineup doesn’t disappoint – Rage Against The Machine, Frank Ocean, Lana Del Rey, Disclosure, Run the Jewels are just a few of the artists you can see.

When is it happening? 9-18 Oct 2020

Where is it happening? Empire Polo Club in Indio, California

Along with Glastonbury, Coachella is one of the two biggest music festivals in the world – the 2019 festival saw 99,000 people attending and you can expect to see similar numbers for 2020.

Lockdown might have stopped live music events for the time being, but they’ll be back.

I recommend giving the Coachella 2020 Lineup Playlist a listen on Spotify to get yourself in the mood – it’s jam-packed with great tunes!

Fun In The Sun Poker Open, the NFL season, and Coachella are just three of the great things to look forward to once lockdown has ended.

So put all of these dates in your calendar, use quarantine as a time to learn a little more about them, and then get ready to have some fun!

  • It’ll be nice to just be out and about, but I’m not convinced people will attend big events in big crowds until there’s a vaccine.

  • We are so ready for this lock down to be over
