A removable color-coordinated strip fits behind the keys to guide small fingers from chord to chord.
As your child learns and grows, the color strip can be transferred to a larger piano, since the keys on Schoenhut toy pianos are of corresponding of a regular sized piano. This teaches children proper “finger stretch” from the very beginning.

Ava absolutely loves her own piano. It is perfectly sized for her and she isn’t struggling to sit at a larger, adult-sized piano. I am pleased with the ease of construction and quick set-up of the baby grand piano. I matches the decor of our living room nicely.

The play by color method of learning seems ideal for young pianists! Both my kids know their letters but colors are much easier and faster for them to read.

My daughter’s interest with our regular sized piano has come and gone and come again. I think it may have to do with it’s uncomfortable size. My youngest has always been interested but the size of ours doesn’t accommodate him well either. This Schoenhut would be idea for them.
This small piano is the right size for kids. I started out playing an upright piano and my feet didn’t touch the ground. Playing by color is a fun way to begin to make music and gets the ears accustomed to the sounds of the piano.

My niece would love this. She is three and loves music. She has two older brothers that are taking music lessons. Will have to share this with my sister.
My husband has begun to teach my 4yr old and 6yr piano but i’m sure they could learn more easily with something designed for their size. It’s also super cute! but not just a toy, very functional for musical enrichment.
