Exploring and finding fun artifacts and creating a family-fun adventure doesn’t always have to mean you dig around outside, in the dirt and cold.  With winter hear, I like to keep my kids mind engaged and exploring, even when we have tons of snow on the ground.

Find It Games provides a ton of fun and entertainment all contained in a simple cylinder.

More about Find It Games

Founded in 2003, Find It® Games is the quintessential success story in the game industry. What started as an idea at the kitchen table has grown into a million-plus unit business and a brand name that is recognized by the best specialty retailers in the industry.

The Find It Game is a “contained adventure” – a family-friendly treasure hunt in a tall clear tube. The first Find It Games consisted of small household objects hidden in a pound of bird seed and then encased in a clear plastic pop bottle. The Founders made these early “production runs” at their kitchen table. When the concept caught on among friends and family members, they decided to take the product to the next level. They rounded up their savings and created the business that would one day become a household name for millions.

Today, the Find It game has been engineered for safety, using high-impact materials like styrene and polycarbonate, as well as inert plastic pellets inside. The objects inside range from everyday items to custom designed shapes and images, depending on the theme of the particular version. No matter which version – “Sports”, “Bird Watch”, “Glitz and Glamour”, etc. – the game is virtually indestructible. It makes for the perfect game to keep out in the den, game room or kitchen and is a big hit as a travel game.

Find It games offers diverse search games including dinosaurs, under water fun, wildlife, Elf on the Shelf and more.  I received the Dinosaurs Edition for Jaxon to play with.  The concept is simple:

The Find It® Dino hidden object game features a fun dinosaur theme with over 40 unique items in a collection of earth toned colored pellets. This is an exciting hidden object game that is great for traveling with its enclosed pieces that never get lost!

Package includes the Find It® Dino hidden object game, playing cards and Ways to Play sheet. A family game for one or more players to enjoy whether you are 8 or 98!

I highly recommend you check out Find It Games and pick out the perfect hidden objects adventure game for your little explorer.  The Elf on the Shelf is perfect for Christmas this year!

In addition to Find It Hidden Objects games, they also have some other fun games for the family.  Here are a few of my favorites that I found.

Jishaku

Jishaku, Japanese for magnet, uses finely polished hematite magnets for playing pieces. This intriguing strategy game can be played in three different ways.

Players take turns placing the magnets onto a foam field, trying to either prevent the magnets from attaching to one another or to encourage them to connect, depending on the game.
