I have been videotaping my kids for years. From their first steps, to graduation, I am always behind a camera or camcorder. I have built an arsenal of video cassettes that are bulky and take up a ton of room. I have been looking into trying to get these videos transferred to DVD’s.
My favorite video to this day is when my daughter was 3. I purchased a talk and walk Pluto dog. At that time, we were living with my parents while I finished college. My father was very ill at that time and would sleep quite a bit. We awoke Christmas morning and opened up everything Santa had left for her and she couldn’t stay away from that Pluto toy. She was so cute, talking with it, walking with it and trying to show her “mamaw” what it was doing and saying “Look mamaw, he walks” and all you hear in the background is mamaw saying, “I know, he is cute, but keep it down as papaw is resting.”

Today we still laugh at that moment and other cute, funny and embarrassing moments from when she was little. As she has grown, she has been involved in cheerleading since the age of 6. I always video tape the competitions and watch them when we get home. I have wanted to compile all of her videos into once nice DVD and give it to her as a gift when she graduates from high school next year.
