There’s nothing I love more than to sit down for dinner with my family each night. It gives us time to catch up on how our days went and enjoy delicious food. I know I need to appreciate this a lot because there are lots of people that don’t get to enjoy this – like our amazing servicemen and women. They are a special group of people that fight for our country each day and not get to see their family as often as they would like. Not to mention, they don’t get to enjoy the comforts of home, like the food. So Marie Callender’s is bringing those comforts to them!
Marie’s will be relaunching their Comforts From Home Project this fall. This great initiative helps to bring the comforts of home to those who are protecting our country each day – those brave men and women in the United States military. With each code on participating Marie Callender’s products that you input will equal one donation to the USO’s Operation Celebration program.
To drive even more interest into this great campaign, Marie Callender’s is holding a Comforts From Home Facebook challenge. You can submit your own photos to support the USO by using #ComfortsFromHome. For every photo that is submitted, Scripps Network will donate $1 to the USO (up to $10,000). Also, user photos that are submitted will be featured on television on the following shows:
- Kitchen Crashers on DIYNetwork & HGTV airing 11/9 and 11/14
- Hello/Goodbye on Travel Channel airing 11/10
- Guy’s Grocery Games on Food Network & Cooking Channel airing 12/14 and 12/19
Make sure to visit ComfortsFromHome.com to learn more about joining Marie’s in helping to bring some home sweet home to our U.S. servicemen and women overseas and get out there and purchase some participating Marie Callender’s products to input those codes. Our servicemen and women definitely deserve a piece of home while they are gone fighting for us and our country!
