Endowed with magical powers, Elliott belongs to a secret world called Moonstone—and trouble is brewing. OUR REVIEW
Taking away from the classic scare and fright of what Halloween is, this book gives you a different perspective. Elliott is part of a dual world where magical and non-magical exist. Halloween in his non-magical world makes him excited as it allows him to experience more of his magical side in his non-magical world. The problem when two worlds exist, is that some beings from either side want to enter the other, but this can pose a big problem, especially for the non-magical world.
The book gives you a great introduction into growth, development and a bit of wonder. As Elliott hones in on his magical side and helps to develop his powers, he is also is learning vital lessons along the way. The book is a great Halloween read and is not overly scary or has a lot of more adult type fear factors, which make it great for the late elementary to middle-school age range.
The book is available for purchase on Amazon. It is ideal for children ages 9-12, and is a solid read at 252 pages.
