Enjoying games with my family is one of my favorite things. This is why games are always one of my favorite items to receive as gifts. Thinkfun has lots of fun games, and I’m excited to tell you about 4 great ones today.
Thinkfun’s Code Master makes programming fun, and you don’t even need a computer! Your Avatar will travel to an exotic world in search of pwoer Crystals. You will use programming logic to navigate the map to collect all of the Crystals and land at the Portal. You’ll learn the principles behind programming, as well as building planning, sequential reasoning and problem-solving skills. It is suitable for players ages 8 and up.
Compose Yourself from Thinkfun teaches children as young as six how to play music! They will create their own melody by arranging cards in a visual pattern – then they will enter codes into Thinkfun’s music making software to hear the piece of music they made. There are over 200 million musical compositions and available. It is suitable for players ages 8 and up and includes 60 transparent music cards, a composer code card, travel bag, instructions with composing tips, and online tools and resources.
Rush Hour Shift is a new game for 2015 that challenges you to a battle of strategy and logic for two players. You will draw cards and use clever strategy to get your player our first. It is best suited for players ages 8 and up and includes a traffic grid, 12 blocking vehicles, 2 hero cars, 32 cards, instructions, and a travel bag.
Laser Maze Jr is a science logic maze for ages 5 and up. You will need to use science and logic to reflect the laser beam to the rockets. Place satellites throughout the maze to guide the laser’s path – just make sure to watch out for space rocks that get in the way.
