As your children grow, you find things that they absolutely love to do, as well as things they don’t really care for. When I was younger, I really wouldn’t read books by choice. They never really captivated me or captured my attention.

I was more of an activity and music buff. It wasn’t until my younger adult years that I really found a love for reading. When I started my own family, I wanted them to explore and develop their own passions and hobbies. Fortunately, that included an early love of reading.Treasure Hunters Peril at the Top of the WorldJames Patterson has written many wonderful series of children’s books and Jeffery especially loves the middle school series of books. In his latest series, Treasure Hunters: Peril at the Top of the World,  take the Kidd family on an entirely new adventure to another worldly location.Jeffery Reading

More about Treasure Hunters

The Kidd siblings have grown up diving down to shipwrecks and traveling the world, helping their famous parents recover everything from swords to gold doubloons from the bottom of the ocean. But after their parents disappear on the job, the kids are suddenly thrust into the biggest treasure hunt of their lives. They’ll have to work together to defeat dangerous pirates and dodge the hot pursuit of an evil treasure hunting rival, all while following cryptic clues to unravel the mystery of what really happened to their parents–and find out if they’re still alive.

This newest and fourth edition in the Treasure Hunters series takes an adventure into Russia. Jeffery has enjoyed reading as they travel to Russia in search of paintings by the infamous artists Leonardo da Vinci and Rembrant, after they have gone missing.

As they sail the high seas in search of lost treasure, the Kidd family goes on what could be described as their biggest hunt yet. As they race the sinister streets of St Petersburg and tack the wild Arctic tundra, they experience fast-paced adventure around every corner.Treasure HuntersAt age 11, Jeffery has a passion for reading that most kids in today’s world of technology lack. I love that he is passionate about taking a book and literally reading cover to cover wildly exciting adventures and learning about other areas of the world in a way that is engaging and memorable for him. The book is really easy to read, has some great illustrations and is captivating for him.

This series is targeted to kids ages 8-12, but honestly, I have enjoyed reading them myself. We cannot wait to see what future adventures James Patterson will create for the Kidd family and new locations Jeffery can venture off to in his mind as he helps them search for unique treasure and feels like he too is a Treasure Hunter.

Be sure to stay connected to James Patterson and find out what next novel he will release.

  • Thank you! I didn’t realize this was out yet. My kids have loved the others in the series and will be excited to read this one as well.
