K’NEX® BRANDS Launches Fundraising Initiative To Benefit Autism Speaks
K’NEX Brands, the only US construction toy company focused on Building Worlds Kids Love®, announced a fundraising initiative benefiting Autism Speaks. During the months of October, November and December, K’NEX is donating 10% of all net proceeds from knex.com directly to the organization, whose goal is to change the future for all who struggle with autism spectrum disorders.
“Every day we receive letters from parents with children on the spectrum who have used our building sets to express their passion and themselves,” said Michael Araten, President and CEO of K’NEX Brands. “We’re proud to support Autism Speaks as they address this global health challenge and work to find the missing pieces of the puzzle.”
Autism Speaks strives to raise public awareness about autism and its effects on individuals, families, and society, and works to bring hope to all who deal with the hardships of this disorder. They are committed to raising the funds necessary to support these goals. This partnership allows K’NEX to support Autism Speaks’ research and advocacy initiatives.
Consumers who wish to donate can do so simply by logging on to www.knex.com and purchasing any K’NEX item. 10% of the net proceeds from every completed sale made during the period of October 1, 2014 through December 31, 2014 will be donated directly to Autism Speaks. Donations can also be made directly to Autism Speaks without the purchase of a product.
