Fall is my favorite time of year! I love the crisp cool air and the colorful falling leaves. And, it is the time of year for Pumpkin Spice everything! Some love the Pumpkin Spice craze and others don’t. For me, I love it! Cookies, cupcakes, spiced drinks, and delicious pumpkin spiced bread…oh, my! I am certainly in my element! But, I have a little secret to share with you for all that mouth-watering goodness! You don’t have to start from scratch to get the delicious flavors the season brings! Krusteaz Pumpkin Spice Bread Mix

Pumpkin Spice Bread with Praline Glaze & Chocolate Lava Filling featuring Krusteaz Quick Bread Mix

Ingredients:

1 box Krusteaz Pumpkin Spice Quick Bread mix

Chocolate Lava Filling:

5 oz. semi-sweet chocolate
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 egg
1/4 teaspoon salt

Praline Glaze:

1 – 14 ounce can Sweetened Condensed Milk
1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Chocolate Lava Filling Instructions: 

Chocolate Lava Filling

Add the semi-sweet chocolate and butter to a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval until melted and smooth.

In another small bowl, whisk together the egg and sugar. Whisk 2-3 minutes, until well combined.

Stir the melted chocolate and butter into the egg mixture and add in salt.

Place the bowl of chocolate in the fridge while you prepare the bread mix.

Bread Mix Instructions:

Mix Krusteaz Bread Mix according to box instructions. ***I used coconut oil for an even more delightful taste!

Spoon a layer of the bread mix into your prepared loaf pan.

Using the back of a spoon to make a well down the center of the loaf.

Spoon Chocolate Lava Filling mixture into the well.

Pour the remaining bread batter into the loaf pan.

Bake according to directions on the box.

Remove when inserted toothpick comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.

Praline Glaze Instructions:

While the bread is baking, combine sweetened condensed milk, brown sugar, and salt in a small saucepan.

Praline Pecan Glaze

Cook over medium heat. Stir constantly until the glaze comes to a rolling boil. Then, continue cooking for an additional minute.

Praline Pecan Glaze

Remove from heat and stir in pecans.

Allow glaze to cool for approximately 10 minutes.

Krusteaz Pumpkin Spice Bread with Praline Glaze and Chocolate Lava Filling

Once the bread is done and cooled slightly, spoon the Praline Glaze over the top of the warm bread. Bread should be warm, but not hot!

Serve with a tall cold glass of milk or a cup of coffee.
