I can, with some strong certainty, that 2020 has been a remarkable year of change, difference and newness beyond anything I have lived in my 47 years. With a fall wedding planned, my only child, my beautiful daughter, had to scramble to change their nuptials and revamp their wedding and move it up to cater to changes in availability, jobs and so much more.

With changing the timing also meant changing colors, theme and so much, AND we had to do it in less than 30 days time. With the rush of the wedding, it meant moving other things along like the bridal shower, the honeymoon and more. While doing all of this rush planning, I wanted to still make this day as special and memorable for my daughter as I possibly could.

Here are some great bridal gift ideas I had and want to share with others for those that have a summer wedding.

Keepsake Handkerchief

Keeping up with the old tradition of “Something old, something new, something borrowered, something blue”, I purchased this delicate keepsake wedding handkerchief with a message for my daughter. This was her new/blue element and I hope that she keeps it to one day give to her daughter on her special day.

Delicate Gold Pinky Ring

With so much change in the colors, we modified her wedding colors to a bright yellow rose and white lily combo. While her dress was 3/4 sleeve and lacy, a simple white gold pinky ring to adorn on her right pinky was the perfect accent piece of jewelry to bring her look together completely and it matched the white gold look of her wedding set.Crafted and delivered right out of NYC, this stunning pinky ring arrived just in time for her to put it on and say “I do” to her husband. It is 14K White gold and has a delicate twist design for fun appeal.

Wedding Designed Vans SneakersHannah is an average sized girl at 5’5″ tall. She missed the height gene on my side of the family, as I stand at 6′ even. Her new husband is 6’2″ and towers over her and she loves it. You would think with having such a tall husband-to-be, she would want to wear the highest heels she could, but such is not the case. She wanted to stick with her unique style and comfort, so I ordered her the perfect shoes to compliment her look and keep her comfortable – these wedding Vans for brides.

Custom Cake Topper

A friend at our church made the cake for them from scratch and it turned out stunningly beautiful. Hannah and Adam wanted a simple cake topper that they could keep and even display in their home long after the cake is gone. This custom wedding cake topper was the perfect addition to their day and so many people complimented how much they loved it and uniquely different from a traditional figurine that tops most wedding cakes.

While the original plan did not fall into place, honestly this was so much nicer, simpler and they are blissfully wedded now and starting their life together as a young newlywed couple. I think these simple gifts my daughter adored and made her day that much more special.
