Cincinnati Inaugural Cheese Festival on November 6 at Moerlein Lager House
The inaugural Cincinnati Cheese Festival will take place on Friday, November 6 from 6:00pm-11:00pm at the Moerlein Lager House at 1621 Moore St. Cincinnati, OH 45202.
Organized by Gourmet Foods International, Kroger, and Murray’s Cheese, the Cincinnati Cheese Festival is an artisan food festival celebrating local and national cheesemakers and specialty producers.
“We have seen the birth of the artisan cheese movement in America reach adolescence,” says Rob Kaufelt, Murray’s President and Owner. “The best news is that the word is spreading, and those of us that chose this rather strange career, whether as makers or mongers, have reason to be proud of what we’ve done, and to eagerly anticipate what we will do in the future. Bringing good cheese to the communities across the country, like Cincinnati, is at the heart of what we do.”
The Cincinnati Cheese Festival will feature creators of gourmet cheeses and foods dedicated to making delicious, sustainable products for their communities, and furthering Kroger and Murray’s Cheese mission to bring the best cheese selection to America.
Locally held in the historic Over-the-Rhine district, a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Brewery District Community Urban Redevelopment Corporation and the revitalization of this iconic Cincinnati neighborhood. We are proud to bring this community-centered event to Cincinnati.
The event will feature tastings, live music, and craft beer from Moerlein. Local chefs will participate in a Melts competition to create the ultimate grilled cheese. VIP guests are invited to attend an exclusive beer and cheese tasting class.
This seems like a great festival, thanks for the review.
