Every wedding day needs a little something to make it special. You have a wonderful venue, amazing guests that have turned up to celebrate with you, and that first special dance.

However, every wedding has at least one thing that makes it stand out from the rest, a unique event that people will remember forever. Here are some of the ideas you can try such as a wedding sand ceremony provided by Sandsational Sparkle

Song Request Cards

You might be unsure as to what songs you’re going to play at the reception, especially if you have a varied age in your guests. However, there is a way that you can pick the perfect song list. Make up some song request cards that you can hand out at the reception. You can then get the guests to pick the songs they love, and you can of course, pick your own as well.

Keeping the Kids Entertained

Although a wedding is supposed to be a formal event, there’s no reason why the kids can’t have some fun. Try having a special kids table at the reception with pens, papers and activities. You could also have a bouncy castle outside if the venue allows it.

That way, the kids will be able to keep themselves busy and not get bored halfway through.

Video Booth

Many weddings have a guest book that the people sign to wish the happy couple well in their future. However, it might be worth trying to do something a little different by having a video booth. Your guests can then record a message and say whatever they want.

It will be a little something that you can play back later to remember the event and those who attended.

Social Media Hashtags

A growing trend among those who love social media, is to have a hashtag for their wedding day. You can then get your friends and family to post to that hashtag and you can see them all together. It’s a good way of involving those people who couldn’t make the event.

The following day, you can print off all the messages and photos and save them in an album.

Alternative Confetti

If you don’t want the traditional rice or confetti to be thrown at you, why not have something like bubbles instead? You can hand them out at the ceremony and have them blown on you as you leave.

It’s especially good for those venues that don’t allow confetti or rice at the ceremony.

These are some of the many ideas you can try at your wedding. If you’re still struggling for inspiration, why not ask the guests what they think? It will make them feel involved, and it might give you the idea you’re both looking for.

Whatever you choose to do, it will make your wedding day extra special and make it something that will stand out in the guest’s minds for a long time to come.
