  • Water long enough to really go deep. Shallow watering will cause lawn brown out in hot weather.

  • Water the garden early in the morning or later in the day…

  • My best tip is to keep your yard simple.

  • Mow atleast every 2 weeks so the grass doesn’t get tall

  • When you are mowing, raise your deck to a higher height to cut your grass. It’s healthy for the blades of grass.

  • Try to keep your yard watered and the weeds pulled so it can stay in great shape.

  • I WISH I had some tips….our lawn is pretty weedy and yeuchy! My tip would be to NOT have a lawn like ours. Thanks and God Bless!

  • Keep the lawn mowed weekly and bagging it can keep it from turning brown.

  • Don’t wait until it’s too late. Start early before anything gets out of hand. Thanks!

  • I would say stick with it when you start, if not its going to not look good and all that started time was wasted.

  • Keep it mowed is all I usually do and it looks good.

  • I would love to have one of these weed destroyers, I worked out in our yard all day today and the weeds were everywhere out there already. Pulling them and even using a shovel can be back breaking work.

  • My best lawn tip would be to maintain your lawn …. water, fertilize, mow, rake out dead grass and leaves etc.

  • Chickens and goats can be very helpful.

  • Good maintenance.

  • Find a good lawn care company. (I live in a townhouse). This will be a present for friends with a yard.
    Thanks for the contest.

  • What tips do you have for good lawn maintenance I just keep it watered and pull weeds when they appear

  • I would have to say my tip would be not to cut it too short during the hot summer months. Dries out so quickly then.

  • My best lawn maintenance tip is to remove weeds often

  • Keep it simple and low maintenance!

  • We like to compost all winter, and then spread the nutrient rich dirt on top of the soil right after the snows melt. When the grass does come up it is lush and green, and looks great.

  • My lawn maintenance tip is to not mow your lawn too low. Don’t “scalp” it or it won’t grow thick and lush.

  • What tips do you have for good lawn maintenance?
Be consistent. It’s easier to take care of your yard consistently rather than letting things get out of hand.

  • My best lawn maintenance tip is to get to weeds as quickly as possible.

  • I confess that I don’t know much about taking care of the lawn–that’s my spouse’s domain. My only role is to pick up after the dogs before my spouse mows. Ha! It would be nice to be able to help with the weeds, too.

  • My best tip to have a nice lawn is hire someone else to take care of it ..lol. I hate yard work

  • Good brand feed and fertilizer

  • We try to water our lawn every other day in the summer and I do try to keep up with weeding, but it is a lot of work.
